About

The AP Physics 2 class at the Harpeth Hall School has created this page to share fascinating, weird, useful, or impactful connections between physics and the world in which we live.

These are our students:

Hi! My name is Reese Graves and I am in the 12th grade at Harpeth Hall. Outside of class, I run cross country and play basketball and lacrosse. I also am president of the robotics club and vice-president of my grade. I am a middle child with an older sister and younger brother. I have 3 pets: 2 dogs and 1 cat. I am 1 of 3 in our AP physics 2 class and I am so excited for the year to come. I love using physics to understand everyday things around me.

Hello! My name is Katie Dovan, and I am a Senior at Harpeth Hall. This is my second year of Physics at Harpeth Hall, and I feel I have learned so much thus far. Outside of school, I am a runner on the track team, a studio artist, and a budding filmmaker. I am very excited about this upcoming year in Physics where I will expand my knowledge of Physics and my understanding of how the world works.

My name is Alex Walsh and I am a senior at HH. Here are a few fun facts about me: I swim at Nashville Aquatic Club, I am going to attend the University of Virginia, and I am very passionate about the environment. One day, I hope to be able to transform the Earth into a zero carbon footprint society, and I believe that taking physics and other STEM courses at HH haved assisted me in this goal. Although physics can be very challenging to understand, I love the atmosphere of Dr. Chamberlain’s classes, and I am grateful that this subject has taught me to be comfortable with not knowing and fostering curiosity is more important than grades.
