Title
Access to Water in Senegal
Subject
Innovation in regards to clean water resources in rural Africa
Description
Danone is a charity organization that is invested in social enterprises that aid impoverished communities. One main goal of the organization is to increase access to drinkable water in Africa, beginning in Senegal. Currently, only sixty-three percent of rural inhabitants of Senegal have access to the bare minimum standard of clean water. Danone is combating this issue with support from the business, Oshun, who created “water kiosques.” They are placed in rural areas and distribute the resource at an affordable price. This installment is uplifting impoverished families and communities, providing them with a necessary resource.
